Australian Nature and Birdsong Ringtones

"I have been using bird song on my mobile and they make the most unoffensive ringtones. You know that frown that often comes over people's faces when a mobile phone rings with the latest Britney Spears song in a public place? I can assure you that a Pied Butcherbird calling on your mobile will only bring smiles from those around you. Just as bird songs should do."

Roy, San Jose, USA

We agree!

Birdsongs make wonderful ringtones. Unlike so many ringtones, these are actually enjoyable to listen to. When your mobile rings, you'll hear evocative sounds from the Australian bush. These ringtones are all natural, Australian, and full of character.

We have heaps of sounds for you to try. Many are beautiful, like the calls of Australia's best songbirds. Others have attitude, like that original laconic aussie, the Raven, ...and when life gets tough, and you need a really distinctive calling card, try our cute'n'cuddly koala!

As you can see, we've had some fun here. We've created a collection of Australian ringtones that features heaps of biodiversity, so you can choose a different sound for each day, or identify calls from individuals, friends and family.

Have a listen to the samples below, and follow links through to our online nature shop to purchase.

'Go Bush' with your phone!

** Please note: All our ringtones are mp3 files. Before purchasing, check that your phone will be compatable with them (most modern ones are). Either consult your phone's instruction manual, or just try transfering any short mp3 file to your phone and setting as the default ringtone. We cannot give refunds if your phone is a cranky old dinosaur of a gadget that is not compatible with mp3 file ringtones!

Each of these ringtones is around 20-30 secs long, and each collection downloads as a zip file. You will need to expand this file using a decompression utility such as Stuffit (see the FAQ page on our shop for further details). In your download file, we have included a text file with suggestions for how to upload the ringtones to your phone. **
