Other Recommended Nature Sound Recordings

If you like our recordings, then we'd like to introduce you to some of our nature sound recording colleagues, and albums that we think that you would also enjoy.

There are many people involved with recording the sounds of nature, but only a few who focus on publishing soundscape recordings. The best of these (that we have heard so far) come from Geoff Sample from the UK, and Lang Elliot in the USA. On our recent travels we were fortunate to meet them, and now count them as both colleagues and friends.

Both Geoff and Lang have that affinity with nature and a creative aesthetic that allows them to produce work of the highest quality. Here you'll find some details of recordings from their catalogues that we think you will enjoy.

Lang kindly invited us to spend a few days camping and hiking in the Adirondack mountains in upstate New York. By good fortune it turned out to be the peak of the fall colours in the Maple forests. Lang is holding the stereo microphone system that gives his recordings such a lovely depth and spaciousness.
