Dryad - Woodland
soundscapes
'Dryad' - a word used in early Greek to
refer to the living spirit of a tree and usually translated as 'wood
nymph'.
Ambient scenes, choruses and solos of some of the species that create the musical
atmospheres of woodland. Recorded in some of the quietest places left, so that
natural sounds can be heard into the distance and a sense of space engendered.
The album begins in the darkness just before dawn, and features soundscapes
from the activity of spring, through mid-summer and into a winter night. |
