A Madrigal of Magpies

The Australian Magpie has - for many - one of the most beautiful voices to be heard in the Aussie bush.

We begin by hearing Magpies singing pleasantly among a symphony of late spring birdsong, followed by the rarely heard and beautiful pre-dawn warblings of a Magpie in the Outback. A suburban Magpie calls sweetly with Bellbirds and Rosellas, and we finish with families of Magpies singing across a more rural landscape.

This recording is a celebration of Magpie song - A Madrigal of Magpies indeed.
